Dhull takes India to their fourth consecutive U-19 World Cup final

India reached their fourth successive U-19 World Cup final with an overwhelming 96-run victory over Australia here on Wednesday, with skipper Yash Dhull displaying his uncommon talent with a well-paced century.

After electing to bat, Dhull smashed 110 runs in as many balls and shared a game-changing 204-run stand with his deputy Shaik Rasheed (94 off 108 balls) to help India reach a formidable 290 for five.

The Indian bowlers then did an outstanding job, dismissing Australia for 194 in 41.5 overs. For Australia, Lachlan Shaw's excellent 51 came too late in the day.

In the opening powerplay, pacers Rajvardhan Hangargekar (0/26) and Ravi Kumar (2/37) excelled, while spinners Nishant Sindhu (2/25), Vicky Ostwal (3/42) and Kaushal Tambe (1/32) dominated the opposition in the middle overs.

The professional bowling performance followed Dhulll's and Rasheed's incredibly mature knocks, with Rasheed missing out on a century by a whisker.

Champions for the fourth time in a row On Saturday, India will meet England in the final, with the hope of extending their dominance in the tournament.

After the legendary Virat Kohli (2008) and the brilliant Unmukt Chand (2012), Dhull became the third Indian skipper to score a century in the tournament's history.
