Australian Open: Kokkinakis, Kyrgios end 'Special Ks' show with victory in doubles

Under the lights, Kyrgios and Kokkinakis, dubbed the "Special Ks" as juniors, wowed the fans at Rod Laver Arena with a 7-5 6-4 triumph.

It was the pair's first Grand Slam doubles victory, and they were also the first wildcard team to win the Australian Open men's doubles title in the professional era.

In the 11th game, a backhand from Kokkinakis sealed the first break of the match, and the duo closed out the first set on their service game as the fans cheered them on in imitation of Cristiano Ronaldo's famed "Siuuu!" goal celebration.

After breaking to love in the second set, the duo led 4-3 before their opponents denied them a match point at 5-4.

The match was finally decided on service, with Kyrgios slamming two aces to seal the victory in 95 minutes.

Top seeds Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic of Croatia were defeated in the second round by Kyrgios and Kokkinakis, who had a fantastic run at the tournament.
