Kochi News: Northerly winds cause Temperature drop in Kochi

In the previous week, chill weather have prevailed in several sections of Kochi, with daytime temperatures decreasing by a degree or two.


The city's maximum temperature dropped to 30 degrees Celsius this week, compared to 31-32 degrees Celsius in the first two weeks of the month.


Cold northerly winds are blowing along both of the city's shores as a result of the cold wave that is sweeping north and central India.


In its monthly temperature forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that maximum temperatures in the peninsular region will be below normal.


According to IMD data, the city experienced 21.4 degrees Celsius on January 26, 2021, and January 12, 2020, the lowest temperatures for the month in both years.
