DPR incomplete; The Center has said that K-Rail is not allowed for the time being | Hot News

The Central Government has said that K-Rail will not be allowed for the time being. The Union Ministry of Railways has stated that the DPR issued by Kerala is incomplete and does not specify whether it is technically or financially feasible. 

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was responding to a question raised by Kerala MPs NK Premachandran and K Muraleedharan in the Lok Sabha.

The technical feasibility report is not in the DPR. Must show an account of the railway-private land to be acquired. No environmental study has been conducted. The Ministry of Railways has stated that the decision can be taken only after examining all these.

 K-Rail officials said they had not received any official notification and were ready to provide more information if requested.
