In Thrissur, a goods train derailed. On Friday at 2.15 p.m., an accident occurred near Thekke Thuravu in the Puthukkad railway station area. The accident's cause has yet to be determined.

The four bogies and engine that were sent to Irumpanam BPCL for refuelling have been derailed. The accident has caused train services on the Thrissur-Ernakulam route to be suspended.

The Jan Shatabdi and Venad Express trains are expected to be delayed. Trains will not be cancelled, and traffic will be restricted on a single track, according to the railway. The area is being inspected by top railway personnel.
