Breaking :The Parliament's Budget Session starts today | Hot News

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the economic survey on Monday and the Union Budget on Tuesday at the budget session of 2022. (February 1). Due to the current Covid-19 epidemic, Parliament has made extensive preparations for the session.


President Ram Nath Kovind will address both Houses of Parliament on Monday to kick off the Budget session. The President's talk will take place in the Central Hall at 11 a.m., according to the Lok Sabha secretariat's timetable.
The Lok Sabha will convene for business half an hour following the President's Address.

The period is set to end on April 8th, with the first portion of the session running through February 11th.

• The standing committees will evaluate the budgetary allocations for various ministries and departments and prepare reports during the recess from February 12 to March 13.

• During the first two days of the Budget Session, January 31 and February 1, 2022, there will be no Zero Hour or Question Hour in both Houses of Parliament.

• According to officials, the Rajya Sabha is planning to shorten the hour-long Zero Hour by 30 minutes because both Houses will receive an hour less under the existing arrangement. The length of the Zero Hour is yet to be decided by the Lok Sabha.

• During the first portion of the Budget session, there will be two key items of business: a discussion of the Motion of Thanks on the President's address and a general discussion of the budget.

• The administration has tentatively set February 2, 3, 4, and 7 as the dates for debate on the Motion of Thanks.

• The Budget session will have 29 sittings: 10 in the first portion and 19 in the second part.

• The Lok Sabha will meet from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. from February 2 to 11, due to Covid-19, according to its secretariat. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Rajya Sabha will meet.

• Because the session is taking place during Covid-19, special precautions have been made to protect the members' safety. Seats in the Lok Sabha Chamber, Lok Sabha galleries (excluding the press gallery), Rajya Sabha Chamber, and Rajya Sabha gallery will be assigned to them.

• The Union Cabinet will meet on Tuesday at 10:10 a.m. to approve the Union Budget 2022-23 before it is tabled in Parliament.
