On the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, police seize 50 kg of ganja valued over Rs 11 lakh | Hot News


On Thursday, two guys were apprehended while trafficking 50.2 kilogrammes of ganja on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route.




A squad from Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar (MBVV) police set up a trap near the Chinchoti over-bridge in Vasai after receiving a tip about narcotics smuggling (east).

According to a report in The Indian Express, the two were attempting to carry the contraband in a rickshaw on their way to Mumbai.


At roughly 12.45 a.m., the crew intercepted the rickshaw and discovered two white sacks with drugs valued Rs 11.44 lakh.

Ajay Waghe, a 27-year-old Nalasopara (east) resident, and Jay Patil, a 24-year-old Dahisar resident, were named as the suspects (east).
