Before the Budget Session, Congress holds a virtual party planning group meeting.

Sonia Gandhi presided over a meeting of the Congress parliamentary strategy group, which included MPs AK Antony, KC Venugopal, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Anand Sharma, Jairam Ramesh, and Manish Tiwari, among others.

On Friday, the Congress' parliamentary strategy group met via video conferencing, hosted by interim party president Sonia Gandhi. The meeting was arranged in anticipation of the start of Parliament's Budget session next week.

According to sources, the meeting resolved that in the approaching session, problems such as a relief package for victims of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), Air India's disinvestment, inflation, the border dispute with China, and farmers' concerns will be discussed. On the problems, it was also resolved that the Congress will work with like-minded parties.

AK Antony, KC Venugopal, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Jairam Ramesh, Manickam Tagore, and Manish Tiwari were among the prominent Congress MPs who attended the parliamentary strategy group meeting.
