Breaking: 2.35 million new Covid cases reported in India; 871 deaths each day | HOT NEWS

In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 2,35,532 new Covid cases, down 6.2 percent from yesterday. In addition, the country reported 871 daily deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,93,198.

The overall caseload in India today stands at 4,08,58,241, with 20,04,333 active cases. The number of active cases has decreased by 1,01,278 in the last 24 hours.

• Kerala had the most cases, with 54,537, followed by Karnataka with 31,198, Tamil Nadu with 26,533 cases, Maharashtra with 24,948 cases, and Andhra Pradesh with 12,561.

• These five states account for around 63.59 percent of new cases, with Kerala accounting for 23.15 percent of new cases.

• The recovery rate in India is now at 93.89 percent.

• In the last 24 hours, 3,35,939 patients have recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,83,60,710 across the country.

• In the last 24 hours, India has administered a total of 56,72,766 doses, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,65,04,87,260.

• In the last 24 hours, a total of 17,59,434 samples were tested.
