The Kerala assembly session will start on February 18th, and the budget will be presented on March 11th

The cabinet has opted to recommend to the governor that the assembly reconvenes on February 18. The assembly session will be split into two parts this time.

The Governor's address will kick off the first portion of the session, which will adjourn after paying tribute to late MLA PT Thomas on February 21. The motion of thanks for the Governor's policy address will be discussed from February 22 to 24. On February 24, the Chief Minister will respond to the discussion, bringing the first phase to a close.

The second half of the session will, however, only resume on March 11 due to the CPM state conference being held at the same time. On March 23, the session will come to an end. The budget presentation will take place on March 11th, followed by a discussion from March 14 through March 16th.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that the cabinet will begin offline meetings as early as next week. Many ministers are unable to express themselves properly in virtual sessions, prompting the move.
